Awaroa Lodge is in the Abel Tasman National Park, New Zealand’s smallest and most visited National Park at the top of the South Island.
Surrounded by pristine waterways and native forest, Awaroa Lodge has been constructed to make the most of its secluded location. Choose from charming Standard or Family rooms or the architecturally designed Superior Suites built over the wetlands.
The main lodge is warm, inviting, and full of character with a comfy lounge, library, bar, restaurant, and outdoor pizzeria, which is open to day visitors, many of whom are walking the famous coastal track.
Enjoy a guided walk or kayak, relax on Awaroa beach or take a walk through our grounds and surrounds. Awaroa Day Spa offers a range of treatments including, massage, body scrubs and wraps, facials, and waxing.
Awaroa Lodge is a seasonal property and opens from October through to April each year; check the hotel website for correct dates.

Awaroa Lodge is a TV and cellphone free environment although WiFi is available. The Lodge is beautifully secluded and with no direct road access, arrival options by water are unique and spectacular and should be arranged at the time of booking.
Getting to the Lodge
Abel Tasman Seashuttle provide scheduled and chartered transfers from Kaiteriteri or Totaranui. The walk to the Lodge is approximately 20 minutes from disembarking the boat along the famous Awaroa Beach (‘the beach that Kiwi’s bought’). Seashuttle’s purpose built vessels have a ramp to ensure feet don’t get wet when disembarking and the lodge has a 4WD buggy which can assist with transporting luggage up to the guest rooms.
